SOPRANO

The lyrical soprano, Ágnes Molnár sang in numerous opera and operetta performances both abroad and in Hungary.
Among her most important roles are: 
Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro (Susanna), The Magic Flute (Pamina), Don Giovanni (Zerlina); Puccini's La Lieder (Musetta), Gianni Schicchi (Lauretta); Gluck's Orpheus and Eurydice (Euridice); Menotti's The Telephone (Lucy); Kacsóh's John the Valiant (French Princess), Orff's Carmina Burana

Ágnes Molnár has sung in famous concert halls such as Carnegie Hall in New York, where important excerpts from Aldo Finzi's forgotten opera Serenata al vento were sung. She has performed at the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing , the Teatro Verdi in Trieste and the Teatro Verdi in Pisa, where she performed Puccini and Verdi works with Andrea Bocelli.

Her name is associated with several contemporary Hungarian and foreign premieres, such as Zsófia Tallér's fairy tale opera Leander and Lenseed, in which she played Lenseed for several seasons. Marco Taralli, (Italian composer) composed his cantata Psalmus pro Humana Regeneratione for her soprano. 
She was the soprano soloist in the Hungarian premiere of Alexey Rybnikov's Symphony No 5 "The resurrection of the dead".
She has performed in many contemporary operas, chamber operas and church works, such as Béla Faragó's Transfiguration; László Dubrovay's The Ransom; Csemiczky's Hymni Ambrosiani, Cinque pezzi sacri, Gergely Kesselyák's Missa Allegra, St. Margaret's Mass.

She is a recurring soloist with Hungary's leading orchestras (Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, National Philharmonic Orchestra, MÁV Symphony Orchestra, Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra).
She has worked with many renowned conductors, such as János Kovács, Tamás Vásáry, Gergely Kesselyák, Ádám Medveczky, Kobayashi Ken-Ichiro, Oliver von Dohnányi, Riccardo Frizza, Alessandro Calcagnile, Alessandro Cadario, Stefan Soltész.

She graduated as a student under Magda Nádor at 
Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest.
She participated in the master’s courses held by Sylvia Sass, Éva Marton, and Júlia Hamari.

 

She is currently a soloist of the Hungarian State Opera House.
